I've heard about more and more plastic surgery being done while awake, but I'm skeptical about whether that's always safe... even a sedated patient may flinch or something worse?

The article is stating that if the patient is awake, than she will be able to inform the surgeon if the implants are the desired size. I have issues with this, as size should be confirmed and agreed upon by both parties prior to any incisions being made. I also do not like this practice as other factors must be accounted for, like swelling.

Seems dangerous and unethical to me.

Oh yes I think most would pass out in a heartbeat when they saw such things being done to their body (at least those of us that are mentally stable LOL)
