| Saline Rippling with inplant over muscle? Hi,
I have had a few consults here in San Diego for a lift and implant. I prefer saline over silicone and the most recent consult I had, he explained since I want the "fake look" , you need to put the implant over the muscle. He warned of rippling though since I prefer saline. Has anyone had a lot of rippling? He said it may or may not occur but mostly happens if you are bending down or laying on your side. Thoughts?
Thank you.

| Welcome to the forum!!!
Yes, if you want the fake look placing the implant over the muscle would be the way you want to go. The implants have to be positioned well, and you will have to worry about capsular contracture.
As far as rippling with saline, it is not a huge problem, unless you go too big or have the implant placed over the muscle (little uh oh here for you regarding placement).
How big are you going, and what are your current measurements (breast size, height, weight)?

| If you want to see what bad rippling looks like with over the muscle, there's a pic somewhere of Posh before she had her breasts redone... you can see the rippling clearly I tried to find the pic but had no luck. Robyne is very skilled with hunting down hard to find celeb pics
If you want the fake look, then I guess it wouldn't be horrible if there was rippling once in a while, right? After all that is "fake" looking (kidding of course!) |

| Couldn't find Posh la_angel, but I'll attach a modest example of a rippling breast due to the saline implant being placed over the muscle. It's usually worse than this, as there are ripples in more than one place in the breast. The bigger you go, the more prone you will be to having this ripple effect.

| Well when TCRicker said she wanted the fake look, I think it's safe to say that is not the type of fake look she wants
On Posh, the breast implant rippling was along the cleavage line... yuck! I wish I could find the photo to show you guys. |

| Close but no cigar! There is one even worse than that believe it or not (it shows the rippling up close and in detail). |
