What words of wisdom are there for breast implants on petite women?

As someone that is a mere 5 foot 2 inches and 103 pounds, I question if they will work on my body and frame. I'm a tad bit older than the average age for breast implants which is something else that troubles me. I have a slim body comparable to a young boy, not something very well suited for a female. The degree of augmentation I would want is minimal. This is why I would be able to continue getting by fine, without surgery, through the use of breast pads if need be. Would a petite woman such as myself be able to do this right and not come out looking inappropriate?

Yes, there are definite possibilities for you. First off, like you said you don't want to go too big. You also should get them under the muscle so they look more natural. What size are you now, and how much bigger do you want to go?

Yes, as Robyne pointed out - it is possible and under the muscle is usually best for petite women (putting the breast implants under the muscles instead of above them). If not you could end up looking like Posh, and I would consider that to be inappropriate

And yes, please do share with us your current size and how much larger you want to go

It is nice to here there are possibilities. Right now I am a 32A but undecided as to what degree I ought to go if I am to get breast implants. A small to mid size B would be more than sufficient. It is very difficult finding petite bras that fit properly on my frame, being able to shop for sizes that normal women wear would be spectacular. Will there be a shape or brand of under muscle breast implants that is recommended most?

If you could post pics, perhaps I could give my personal recommendations regarding size, however, do not go above a midsize B for certain.

Placing the implant submuscularly (behind the muscle) would be preferred in your situation. Less risk for capsular contracture, although it is a longer operation.

Most people opt for round shaped implants, however, a contoured implant (also known as teardrop shaped) looks more natural, especially on a small girl, such as yourself. The profile of your breasts (protrusion of upper part of cleavage) will not just out as much as well, thusly creating a believable appearance.

Hi There! I too am 103 lbs & 5'2! I was about a 32A on my right breast and a small 34B on the left one when I got my implants placed at the age of 24. I didn't want to be very big...just wanted to even them out and feel more confident about my appearance. I ended up getting saline filled textured implants submuscular. My smaller breast was filled to 280cc and the other with 260cc. I have had them now for almost 14 years and they still look very good. I am a medium to full 34B on both sides now. My right breast is still a tiny bit smaller, but it's not NEAR as noticable. I will tell you though...that about 1-2 years after I had them I wished I would have gone larger...to be a 34C or so. In fact, I am currently interviewing surgeons to have them replaced with larger silicone implants. (I no longer live in the city I originally had them done in.)

I just joined this site tonight so once I figure out how to post a photo I will so you can get an idea of what you would look like if you chose implants similar to the ones I have now.
