Has anyone been to one of these botox parties? I first heard about it in my doctors office who had a video looped of a botox party in vegas. these sound kind of fun they give you free food and a little bubbly along with a discount on the botox. I think it would be fun to go too because youd be around other people getting it so it would be great support if your squirmish with needles or havent had botox before and want to talk to people. Where are these thing usually at and when am I going to get invited to one of these "parties"?

My doctor in Beverly Hills was the one that pretty much invented Botox parties and became pretty famous for them. Unlike most plastic surgeons though he was able to throw them at lavish locations like The Palms casino since his wife's family owned it which I'm sure was the reason he got the most attention for his botox parties.

I found this statement about Botox parties by the AAD:

Receiving botox injections in a casual party setting is not recommended by the

Now that it's 2008 I think Botox parties are more common than Tupperware parties are! I read a great article on Fox23 about Dr. Gregory Roche in Michigan who is trying to bring the botox party to the midwest!

It says: "Even Roche's wife, Bonnie, is involved. She made the guacamole, salsa and beef tenderloin. She got the flowers and made the family dogs, cats, parrot and pet raccoons behave."

Sounds like fun! That doctor says if you're the host and can get 10 friends together for a party the charge is $350 an area instead of the normal $425 to $700 everyone else pays. Maybe it's just me, but I think if you're bringing TEN customers to the doctor, he should do yours for free!

Something I didn't know was that in Europe the beauty salon operators are allowed to give Botox... maybe it's cheaper over there because you don't have to pay a big fat doctor's mcmansion mortgage and Porsche car payment!

My mom went to one two years ago. That was the only time she got Botox. She was kind of neutral on the whole thing. I guess though they do all their eating and wine drinking before they get the Botox because afterwards their facial muscles don't move right and it stays that way for about a day.
