How much does an arm lift cost?
How much is the average cost of an arm lift? I lost some weight and have a lot of flab under my arms and have been wearing long sleeves to cover it up. I would prefer to just get these fixed so I can stop the smoke and mirrors. I figure someone on this cosmetic surgery forum would be able to advise me on this. I am only interested in prices from a board certified surgeon though.
If you've had this operation please let me know how much you paid including O/R and anesthesia? Thanks

The total price including operating room and anesthesia can run anywhere from $5,000 all the way up to $15,000 or more in the US. It's a very long procedure because the doctor has to re-assemble the tissue he cuts away so you don't bleed internally. I have heard it often takes 4 to 5 hours actually under the knife so you can see why it is so costly.
I have heard this is extremely painful post-op during recovery. I do not need an arm lift quite yet but I am not looking forward to the pain that comes along with it. I hear it is like hell for a while but once you are all healed up the results totally make it worth it.

Thanks for the info, I thought it would be much more.

How much does arm lift surgery cost for real? Because I have been online looking at sites that list averages and those prices are way, way, way off from what I have been told. They are outdated and low ball prices. Please someone tell me the real price of an arm lift. I don't want links I want real answers.

My friends have spent between $5,000-$7,000.

I have not asked my plastic surgeon the price yet because my arm lift surgery is a ways off but this is helpful. Does $5,000 to $7,000 include the misc things like the surgical center and anesthesia?

It depends on the surgeon. Two of my friends spent $5,000-$7,000 without anesthesia, and one spent $7,000 all inclusive. I know an individual who had her surgery in the Midwest (all inclusive) for $6,500.
I also know of several Europeans who have spent upwards of $13,000 American overseas. You can also go to Asia, where reputation and credentials vary, and spend a mere $2,000 American.
If you base your surgery on price you might not be happy with your results. That has been my experience, as well as the experience of many of my colleagues.

Would it then be reasonable for me to plan on spending $7 thou or less total in the Midwest if I get the arm lift surgery this year?

If you find a reasonable surgeon, most probably.
