Should I get an armlift to get rid of stretchmarks?
I gained weight growing up and was quite plump until I was 40 and decided to drop 80 pounds. :D I DID IT! :D but now I'm left with stretch marks all over. They're silvery and tanning only makes them worse since they don't get tan. I have more of these stretchmarks than the normal person gets I'm talking about a lot of them. On my arms the go from elbow to armpit. What do you think of an arm lift to get rid of them?

The thing is I was a heavy girl so I need a tummy tuck, breast lift, thigh lift and the whole 9 yards lol so do I start with the arms? They bother me the most since unless you're wearing long sleeves they can be seen.

What should I do? I feel like weight loss is a double edged sword. We have to work our butts off, and oh do I mean WORK OUR BUTTS OFF and then we're left with a bunch of new problems it's just not fair. I try to look at the good thing though which is that God has blessed me with being a lot healthier and that's way more important than stretch marks which are just cosmetic.

(by the way I live on a farm and love the animals and my username has nothing to do with overweight terms or anything. I just want to make that clear so no one is offended because I lived 40 years of my life obese so trust me I would be the last person in a place to criticize weight!)

Congrats on the weight loss!! If the arms are the biggest problem then I would do them first if I were you. You can't get all those surgeries at once anyway since they are bigger than what we think. And they're LONG surgeries!! Arm lift surgery is 6 hrs long alone. The doctor has to spend a lot of time fixing up the muscles and putting the skin back together the right way. After you have a lot of drainage and limited movement of your arms. So look at the bright side even though you can't afford them all right now you can't get all those surgeries done at the same time anyway. Just start with the arms since they are big thing and just go from there. Can you imagine having an armlift, tummy tuck and thigh lift all at once? You wouldn't be able to move lol.

It should help with the stretch marks if the skin cut out has the stretch marks on it. Something else you should use on the stretch marks is sunless tanner. I know stretch marks don't tan naturally but using that rub on sunless lotion and a lot of it helps to disguise them.

In my opinion you should first give try to some Yoga exercises to tighten your body muscles and skin naturally. there after if you are still not satisfied you can consult some good plastic and cosmetic surgeon.

If there is excess skin to cut off than that could be one option to kill two birds with one stone.

If you have enough skin I think any kind of tucking that can cut out and get rid of stretch marked skin is a good idea.
